Our Story

 How did we get started? 

Ms. Russell, the 5th grade ELA teacher at Universal Vare Stem & Arts Charter School, decided to combine different skills in a creative way to engage students during her after school program. She knew that due to the pandemic, incorporating technology was a necessity. However, she also needed to apply reading, writing and research to the list. These were all key elements of skills that would be essential to the growth go the scholars. Instilling these skills would allow them to be prepared later in their school careers. 

After the idea was created students got to choose what topic they wanted to focus on and they chose shoe brands. They all were able to choose what brands they wanted and report about them.
